The president, however, called the decision a “statement of economic independence.”

Kamala Harris, who lost the presidential elections to Trump, made predictions about Trump’s moves regarding the tariffs, claiming his politics would easily lead to a recession by mid-2025.
Now that her predictions are coming true, videos of her speeches have started to pop up on social media.
In the presidential debate in September 2024, Harris shared a stark reality with millions of Americans. She stated, “16 Nobel laureates have called his economic plan something that would raise inflation and could lead to a recession by the middle of next year. You just have to look.”
This wasn’t the only time the Democrat warned about the potential consequences of a Trump victory in the elections.
During her guest appearance on The Howard Stern Show in November, Harris mentioned, “My plans will boost our economy. Donald Trump’s plans would harm our economy, increase inflation, and could lead to a recession by the middle of next year.”
Harris also spoke of Trump’s plan to eliminate the Department of Education, which he did, leading to over 1,300 people to lose their jobs.
Harris also stated that if Trump wins the election, he would reduce funding for Social Security and Medicare while providing tax cuts for large companies and wealthy individuals.
NBC reported that “House Republicans are unable to meet their own budget goals needed to support President Donald Trump’s legislative plans without making major cuts to Medicare or Medicaid.”
Now, many people are reflecting on Kamala Harris’s warnings.
“She has warned us repeatedly. It’s unfortunate that 27% of the population chose to ignore her,” one person said.
Another added, “Yeah, but the recession hit in just 4 months, not 6. Gotcha, liberals.”
